Language courses

Courses open to everyone

The courses are open to all those who wish to learn a foreign language or improve their knowledge of a language they already know, and are aimed at creating and developing communication skills through the teaching method and the goals stated by the CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Individual and group courses

Both individual and group courses include personalized educational routes, based on a balanced approach that integrates communicative functions, mastery of grammatical and syntactic structures, and lexical propriety. The subjects of professional and business language courses are related to a specific academic or professional field, while the subjects of general language courses mostly take their cue from current events or common interest themes (customs and traditions, culture, travel, sports, leisure).

Duration, attendance and customized schedules

The duration and attendance of the courses depend on the type of language chosen, the linguistic skills and abilities already possessed by the students in the foreign or Italian language, on their capacity for linguistic progression, and the linguistic-cultural level they aim to achieve.
Both individual and group courses are organized according to the students' availability of time. Group courses are preferably held in the pre-evening or evening hours to allow working students to participate regularly in accordance with a weekly schedule that will be defined with the teacher.

First introductory lesson free of charge

All courses include a first introductory lesson free of charge lasting sixty minutes, which consists of an interview and a test to assess the actual language level of the students. During this lesson, the learning needs of the students will be identified, while the educational route will be outlined in collaboration with the students themselves. The educational route will be customized for all types of courses, with particular attention to the target of specificity for individual courses and to the target of homogeneity for group courses.

Initial, intermediate and final assessment test

The initial assessment test will be followed by an intermediate test with the function of monitoring the quality of the students' learning process and of detecting any gaps that need to be filled. At the end of the course, a final test will be proposed in order to evaluate the students' actual learning of the topics covered during the course and to determine the achievement of the initially requested linguistic and cultural target. Upon passing the final test, an overall assessment sheet and a certificate of attendance, reflecting the level of linguistic and cultural knowledge and skills attained by each student, will be issued.
