Remote interpreting is widely used in conference calls, videoconferences, multiconferences, webinars and telemedicine.
In this mode, the speaker and the listener are in different places. The interpreter, who is also in a place different from that of the speaker and the listener, translates the speech of one or more speakers to one or more listeners through a special platform installed on a computer or a tablet.
Remote interpreting combines the advantages of consecutive and negotiation interpreting with the characteristics of telephone interpreting.
