A certified translation is a translation accompanied by a certificate (CTA – Certification of Translation Accuracy) which certifies the accuracy of the translation and the fidelity of the translated text to the original text, drafted in the target language and bearing the stamp, signature and data of the professional translator or translation agency.
The certified translation is mainly recognized in the United Kingdom and in English-speaking countries, where translators represent a professional category recognized by a relevant professional register that enables them to certify their translations.
