Loretta De Nardi

My approach to interpreting, translation and teaching of foreign languages stems from a genuine passion for the study of languages and cultures of the world, as well as from an aptitude for work in international contexts, developed both through continuous cross-culture training and during a long and wide-ranging career, which has given me the opportunity to collaborate with professionals of many disciplines, from all over the world.

My professional journey began in the 1990s at a company in the furniture sector, where I worked as an executive secretary responsible for developing relationships with clients in foreign markets.
Subsequently, for over two decades, I worked as a language mediator for another company within the same sector, primarily focusing on the planning and organization of communication activities aimed at developing the European and international sales network.

I currently provide translation and interpreting services in the legal, technical-scientific, economic-financial, commercial, publishing and cultural products industry sectors.

Since 2011 I have been registered in the Roll of Experts of the Chamber of Commerce of the Province of Pordenone and in the Register of Experts of the Court of Pordenone in the category of Translators and Interpreters.

The languages in which I specialize are Russian, English, Spanish and French.

I took up the study of Russian at the Institute of Russian Language and Literature at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, where in 1995 I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures with full marks and honors.
I deepened my knowledge of this language before and after graduation by attending specialization courses and participating in internships at prestigious institutions in Moscow and Kiev, such as the Russian Language Institute A.S. Pushkin, the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Literatures A.M. Gorky, the International Learning Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, where I obtained the diploma of parliamentary assistant, the Institute for the Promotion and Development of International Economic Relations of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation, the Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov and the State University of Kiev Taras Shevchenko.

The wish and need – unavoidable for a translator and interpreter – to expand the already acquired linguistic and cultural fund of knowledge through systematic attendance of private language lessons taught by qualified mother tongue teachers, led me to attend various specialization courses and internships at the Escuela salamantina de Estudios Internacionales Salmínter and at the University of Salamanca with its renowned Cursos Internacionales, at Accord École de Langues and the Fondation Robert de Sorbonne – Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne in Paris, finally coming to an in-depth course on the English language and civilization at Kaplan International in London.
